Rights2LIFE

The University of the Cordilleras aims to promote a responsive criminal justice system through education and research, leading to intermediate changes in human rights-based education, research and development, community outreach, competent faculty and students, multi-stakeholder partnerships, and well-equipped resources.

            Criminological Research Design Training

            A series of training on Criminological Research Design Formulation in partnership with Ghent University will be conducted sometime in June and July, 2023. Some slots will be open to the public. More information about the training will be uploaded by the first week of June, 2023.

              Call for Research Proposals

              Proposals for research in the field of human rights can be funded when the Call for Proposals will be made sometime in June, 2023. Funding per research ranging from PhP 50,000 to PhP 100, 000 can be provided depending on the nature of the researches that will be selected. The call is open to any field of inquiry alongside understanding human rights better in the Philippine setting.

                University of the Cordilleras Criminology Curriculum Review

                From May to July 2023, a series of curriculum reviews will be conducted with faculty members of the College of Criminal Justice Education. The focus will be on evaluating what aspects of human rights are not covered and ensuring a more comprehensive approach to human rights education.

                  Official Launching of the Rights2LIFE Website

                  The Rights2LIFE website will be fully launched in July 2023. This website will be the avenue to inform the public of the initiatives made by the University of the Cordilleras, Philippines and the Ghent University, Belgium under the VLIR-UOS TEAM project to achieve a more responsive criminal justice system in the Philippines.
